CONSORTIUM

The composition of the consortium has been optimized in view of the call outline to develop and implement necessary technological components and systems in the area of development and demonstration of low cost electric vehicles. Apart from representing toplevel specialists in the field of interest, all industry and academic partners have long-term experience in national and European / international collaborative research & development projects, both as coordinators and partners.

Together, the partners form a unique, complementary team of excellence, uniting various innovative approaches with industrial applications of both generic and specific types.

The project brings together key players from the Austrian and German Automotive and research institutions for – in particular – vertical integration of value chains.

VALUE CHAIN

Regarding the Automotive sector, this value chain comprises the engineering and production partners Magna, Hoerbiger, EK and AVL having international/global market knowledge and access, IESTA as an expert in requirements and evaluation management, and TU Vienna, TU Graz, and HyCentA as scientific partners.

KEYTECH4EV combines the sector-specific know-how of its partners to create cross sectorial added value especially in the areas of future low cost electric vehicle. Furthermore, IESTA as a SME in KEYTECH4EV will particularly benefit from the international/global market knowledge and access of LE partners, not the least by getting the possibility to test and to validate their concepts and technologies in an international/global market environment.

Four industrial large enterprise partners AVL, Magna, Hoerbiger and EK complement each other with respect to their individual industrial expertise, and represent an important part of European industry concerning green mobility, having international/ global market knowledge and access.
One industrial small and medium-sized enterprise, IESTA, deals with requirements and evaluation management as well as R&D Coordination and Dissemination.

Three academic partners complement each other with respect to different research background: IMM has broad experience in the fields of model design and simulation as well as in optimal and robust control, CEET in the field of fuel cells and hydrogen production, and HyCentA in the area of production, distribution, storage and safety of hydrogen.
All consortium partners are convinced that the eventual solution of the problem of green vehicles and mobility will not be provided by a single technology, but will consist of a merge of several best-of-class technologies into an integrated solution that goes beyond the knowledge and experience of a single network partner.
